OSHA rule 29 CFR 1910.178(l) on the training of powered industrial truck operators requires employers to observe & evaluate the performance of their lift truck operators during a three (3) year cycle. The following checklist is derived from the National LIFTOR certification testing standards for safe on-truck maneuvering. It can be used by an employer to help comply with the OSHA evaluation rule.
