To join the ITTA, complete the Industrial Truck Trainer's Association Charter Membership Application Form and either submit it electronically over the internet, or print out a hard copy and mail or fax it. As a Charter member participant in the ITTA, you will enjoy the following benefits...and more: National LIFTOR Alert! - The official quarterly newsletter of the ITTA is always packed with useful information about the training and management of powered industrial truck operators, instructors, and supervisors. Includes OSHA compliance information, and techniques for trainers and lift truck operators. Be sure to catch the "current issues" column to keep abreast of what is going on wherever industrial lift trucks are operating. Sent quarterly by email. ITTA Focus Group - At least twice a year we sponsor an opportunity for member participants to help us and each other develop or improve selected "models" for implementing The Process Standards used throughout the National LIFt Truck Operator Registry Network. These are working sessions where participants come to learn about selected topics, and then walk away with useful information, customized instructional models and/or plans for improving their own on-site training and management activities. Upcoming activity announcements are made via e-mail and as well as regular mail. Procedures, Forms, and Standards - As an ITTA Charter member, you automatically receive useful written procedures for training and complying with the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.178 (1), a supply of Daily/Shift Examination forms to help with compliance and training at your industrial site, and a set of the National LIFTOR Process Standards so you can decide whether to participate as a National LIFTOR Industrial Site Licensee (ISL), Accreditor/Licensed Development Partner, or as a member of an Industrial Task Force. Access to Annual Conference and Workshops - Members of the ITTA, get into the annual Conference at the deeply discounted member rate (currently $110 per day). When Workshops are scheduled for Certified Instructors, Test Examiners, Test Engineers, and Accreditor/Licensed Development Partners, you will receive advance notice so you can register early before the seating limit is reached. Continuous Improvement - Because the ITTA is founded on a research-based philosophy, you are encouraged to participate in field studies which always have as their purpose to reduce the risk associated with operating lift trucks. This can benefit you professionally. And for those interested in socially responsible management, you get an up-front view of how ITTA members are reducing the risk of personal injury, while improving productivity, as its happening, all across the United States and wherever industrial lift trucks are used. |
